The company

Mont Virtua GmbH was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. We build verified AI knowledge systems for regulated industries — legal, financial compliance, tax, and medical.

Our first knowledge domain was Swiss law: 27,795 laws across all 26 cantons and the federal system, over 2 million structured law units, 1.1 million court decisions from 115 courts, and a citation graph with 1.4 million cross-reference edges. All four national languages. All verified against official government sources.

That became the foundation for Enclava, our delivery platform. Every regulated knowledge domain we add follows the same architecture: ingest from authoritative sources, structure, embed, cross-reference, verify, deliver.

We provide tools and data, not advice. Lawyers, Treuhänder, compliance officers, and financial advisors use our knowledge infrastructure to work faster and more accurately.

We are the only multi-sector regulated RAG company. Harvey, Legora, CASUS — they each cover one sector. We cover legal, tax, compliance, and medical through one platform. And we are just getting started.

The agent model

Mont Virtua is run by seven AI agents, each responsible for a function of the company:

The Geschäftsführer handles strategy, deals, and decisions that require a human signature. The agents handle everything else.

This is not a gimmick. It is the logical structure for a company that builds AI: use the technology you sell. The agents review every piece of content for regulatory accuracy before it publishes. They monitor infrastructure. They track costs. They operate the company the way a 7-person team would — at a fraction of the overhead.

Why Switzerland

Switzerland is not a marketing choice. It is a structural requirement for what we build.

Data sovereignty. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) prohibits transfer of personal data to countries without adequate protection. The US does not have an adequacy decision from Switzerland. Every piece of client data processed through a US cloud provider is a compliance risk.

No Cloud Act exposure. The US CLOUD Act compels American companies to produce data stored anywhere in the world. This applies to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud regardless of where their servers physically sit. A Swiss data center run by a Swiss company is outside this reach.

Banking secrecy and professional privilege. Swiss lawyers face criminal liability for unauthorized disclosure of client data (BGFA Art. 13). Swiss bankers face the same under Article 47 of the Banking Act. Using US-hosted AI for client work creates exposure that no compliance officer will accept.

Trust through neutrality. Swiss institutions have built trust over centuries by being precise, private, and neutral. We apply the same principles to AI infrastructure.
